Convoy Mack RS700 Mod for ETS2

Finally someone has made Convoy Mack RS700 (RS700L) truck mod for Euro Truck Simulator 2 game with it's own dash interior made by "John Necir Rebellion".The door have no R.D. TRUCKING text decal and sleep cabin too have no decal text that important thing is missing. Many people have tried to make Convoy rubber duck truck 3D model but none of them have come close to real one from the Convoy film only my 3D model is most accurate.

1978 Mack Cruiseliner in Convoy Movie

I remember the 1978 Mack Cruiseliner in Convoy Movie that was Driven by Bobby 'Love Machine' 'Pig Pen' . There was a mod of this truck for Pttm game many year ago but it is gone i can not find it.

18ws old Truck game mods downloads by 3dartpol

After many years it's time to bring back the good old days mod for download. As many remember me late in 2004 i was the first modder to make 3D mods for 18ws Pttm Scs games. Now i have made some of my mod available for download if anyone want remember the good old days mods. It only the important mods, there is more but i can not add all for download.  There will be no convention for new truck game because i can not convert anymore and it is very harder to mod for new games it was lot easier in the old games.

Install info for mods:
After you extract the archive zip or rar Place copy the *.SCS files in your Mod folder. Example

Convoy mackr Mod for GTA SA

In 2006 someone did try to work in converting my Convoy Mackr truck to GTA SA game. But unfortunately it was not finished because there was some technical problem and he had not time. Here is a pic of unfinished body and engine work 3dartpol convoy truck:

Microsoft Virtual PC 2007

There is many old games that do not work on modern hardware and operative-system. I made a step by step Guide many year ago how to use Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 now I post it at the blog. I know some may say that Oracle VM VirtualBox is better but believe me I have test all and i must say Microsoft Virtual PC is much better.

With Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 you can install old Windows98 operating system on modern hardware and OS. This is very useful to run some old games and programs if you can not run them on modern Pc. Virtual PC It will emulate a Pentium III Cpu and S3 Trio32/64 GraficCard and Soundblaster 16 soundcard. This provides you with the flexibility to use different operating systems on one physical computer.


Step by step guide for Microsoft Virtual PC and installing Windows 98 by 3dartpol
What is needed first is that you have this 2 things:
- Windows98 Install Disc CD. (or a cd iso image)
- Windows98 Start Disk Floppy (or image can be found at allbootdisks.com)

1) Download Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 program from microsoft.com

2) Install it then click on "New Virtual Machine Wizard" select the first option "create a virtual machine"Select name and where to save it. Then Select the system that you are going to emulate in this case Windows98

3) Then you get to memory select adjusting ram select 512 MB ram. You can probably use 256-512 MB ram or less.

4) Then click on a new virtual hard-drive
Then you can choose where to save it and how big it can be. Some GB will be good for your virtual hard-drive.

5) If you have windows98 CD put it in the cdrom drive letter D:
then click on CD and then use psychial drive D:
** Also you can mount a ISO image too.

Note! If you want to install an early OS like W98 which does not boot from
CD/DVD, you will need to use a floppy boot disk to start the vm. If you
don't have a floppy disk drive on your host machine you can download a
virtual boot floppy image and drag it on to the floppy drive icon

6) Insert Win98 floppy start disk in drive A:
Star the Vitual Pc and the floppy loads and select option 1 to load Cdrom driver support

7) At the Dos promt A: type: FDISK
to create a dos primiry partion and after it's done do not forget to format it!
at the Dos promp type: FORMAT C:

8) At the dos prompt you need to switch to cdrom drive, type and enter: D:
then type: INSTALL To start the Win98 install program

9) Just follow the instruction to install win98 when done after that the computer will reboot.

That was all...
Some tips for full screen press "Alt GR + Enter "and the same to run it in window mode if you want to move your mouse outside the emulation window press "Alt GR "

- If you have problem to run old Dos games you can try DOSBox, an x86 emulator with DOS
- WindowsXP Virtual PC mod for Windows7 do not support hardware acceleration it can only run programs and not games.

Convoy Mack plastic Model Kit

Here is some model kit for the good old Mack-R RS700L truck based on Convoy film Mack truck. I don't know where to buy this as new but you may find some used at ebay. The Ertl Company is an American toy company In the late 1970s began to make the Model Kits.

1. The first one is Convoy Rubber Duck Mack Truck model kit made for Ertl Company all part are attachable this one is best.

2. The second one is made by a manufacture in Hong Kong for Ertl Company this one the shape of the truck and trailer is not correct. Video clip see here

3. The third one is Model Kit Mack DM 600 made for Ertl Company looks very good quality and shape is correct done.

For those that did not know:
"There were a total of 5 Mack's used to represent RD's truck throughout the Convoy movie. RS786LST and MACK RS700L trucks. The 1977 was the one most commonly seen in the movie, but there were 2 1972's used as well as a glider mock up and a cut-away used for close up scenes."

World of Trucks first newsletter #1 by Scs

I have received the first World of Trucks newsletter #1!
Anyone can get Scs Software newsletter by marking a check box in World of Trucks website in profile page. It contains developer diary and some depth about what went into Scandinavia development, as well as touch other projects that are currently in various stages. If you did not received newsletter you can find it at Scs Software forum there they store all future newsletters.

For American Truck Simulator fans:
They will start showing you a lot more about American Truck Simulator, it's in early alpha version. They was busy to finish ets2 Scandinavia and they will show more info about ATS later.

Green goblin truck mod for Pttm

Someone still remember the good old days mods for 18:ws Pttm game and requested one special truck mod and wanted to see it. It is the green goblin truck, this truck is based on same truck that was in the movie: Maximum Overdrive (1986)

Coach Sim is still under work

Good news for Bus sim fans Scs Software has not abandoned their upcoming bus sim game. The release date is still unknown they must first finish ATS game and it can take long time before we can see a Bus sim game by Scs.
A small team "The Coach Sim Team" is still working on the Bus sim game how many people there is no info.  In Recent interview made by Squirrel in Part 1 after 8min one of the developers 3D artist shows one Bus and it's inside interior work, here is some pictures behind the scene at Scs Software office:

Rubber Duck hood ornament in car
